Origen

Specimens of countless species pointed skyward in vertical lines. Lines, lines, lines. No light, no shadow. In the distance, the low hills, asleep, and on them the odd tree, remote and bare.

Almost unreal, a cloudy sky of grey and white. By day, very dark trees and shrubs; by night, pale as ghosts.
